GRANITE
Granite is becoming the stone of choice for
most homes and businesses because of its natural
beauty and performance. Because granite is a
natural product, every slab varies and has it's
own uniqueness. The variations give granite
its natural beauty.
The
first step in natural stone countertops is choosing
a stone. Granite comes is just about every color
imaginable. Pattern varies from stone to stone.
Do you want your granite to have a grain or
to have a static look? Do you want your countertops
to be a focal point or blend with the entire
kitchen? Do you want contrast? Is there a specific
color you want to accent? All of our customers
are encouraged to select slabs from our preferred
distributors. Small samples are typically not
a good representation.
Granite
is categorized into 5 separate price groups,
depended on the availability of the stone quarry.
EDGE
The
next step is choosing an edge. This will reflect
your personal style and preference. Granite
slabs are cut at 3/4" thickness. We use
lamination to build up your edge to an 1 1/2"
thickness for a richer look.
ENGINEERED
STONE / QUARTZ SURFACES
Engineered stone is one of the newest countertop
products available. It has strength and durability,
consisting of crushed quartz and resin. It is
more consistent than granite, being a man made
product. Slab selection is not necessary with
this stone. The nonporous surface never requires
sealing and is Green Gaurd Certified.
